LT's Grill ( Click
here to view menu )
After
a long and cold winter, its pleasing to know that summer-time is
finally approaching. For food lovers this season means one thing,
it's time for some mouth watering barbeque. This month we didn't
have to travel too far for exceptional barbeque. Located in the
town of Niskayuna sits LT's Grill, conveniently located in St. James
Square on 2305 Nott Street. Upon entering I immediately got the
feeling of an old western theme. Within the building there were
various objects representing old western culture (sure to keep the
interest of the young ones). Yet with all the decor the atmosphere
was not overwhelming. LT's dining area is fully capable of containing
a small gathering or large party.
LT's
menu has a lot of delicious selections to choose from. There is
something for everyone. LT's Grill has everything from barbeque
to terrific seafood and pasta dishes. Everything is homemade "nothing
out of the can." - LJ (Co-owner). Even though everything was
tempting I decided on half rack of barbeque "wet" ribs.
LT's boasted to be "the best in ribs" so I put them to
the test. I am pleased to say that they passed with flying colors.
The rib's were very moist and tender. They were seasoned well and
smothered in homemade "Kansas City" style Barbeque sauce.
I picked baked beans and frizzle fries for my 2 side dishes. I was
pleased with the rich smoky flavor of the baked beans and the perfect
golden crisp of the fries.
The staff was
genuinely friendly and inviting through out the dining experience.
The customer service was excellent. From one table to the next,
co-owner LJ Goldstock interacts with customers to ensure they are
satisfied and appreciated. LJ is not afraid to roll up his sleeves.
He is involved in every aspect of his restaurant business from the
kitchen to the office. What is also great about LT's is that they
will accommodate to your dietary needs or adjust their menu (within
reason) if you give them a 24 hour notice. Example, sweet potato
instead of white potato.
In conclusion
I was very pleased with my dining experience at LT's grill. From
the delicious food that they prepared to the delightful family-friendly
atmosphere. I cannot wait to return to try another entree. Maybe
next time I will dine outside on their new patio. If you are looking
for unique flavor and more bang for your buck, LT's Grill is perfect
for you.
