Randy Loren's Dolce Vita Ristorante (

Dolce
Vita Ristorante is located on State Street in Schenectady N.Y. The
restaurant is owned and operated by Randy Loren. This restaurant
offers delicious and affordable Italian-American cuisine. Although
the restaurant prefers reservations, at times it can accommodate
walk-ins due to a large dining area. The restaurant is outfitted
with a warm inviting full sized bar, stage with piano for live music,
and a dance floor. The restaurants theme is geared towards the baby-boomer
generation. The music and decor help to present a classy/retro atmosphere.
Dolce Vitas menu
offers a diverse choice of Italian cuisine. We ordered Veal Dolce
Vita and Scallops Alfredo. The food was presented in an excellent
fashion. The veal was very tender and had a rich buttery flavor.
The capo cola, melted provolone and fresh herbs on top were a nice
addition. A side of pasta smothered in homemade tomato sauce was
very satisfying. The fresh sea scallops were perfectly pan seared.
Their style of alfredo sauce over fettuccine was creamy and uniquely
delicious. All Dolce Vitas desserts are homemade. I had the chocolate
cake with a raspberry tort sauce that was finished with whipped
cream, fresh raspberries and a mint leaf. It was moist and scrumptious.
In conclusion I was impressed by the overall dining experience at
the Dolce Vita. If you are in the mood for fresh homemade Italian
food and an interesting atmosphere, you should try this restaurant.
